Wholesale Manager, Commerce

We are hiring a Wholesale Manager to join the growing Barstool Sports Wholesale team located in New York, NY. The Wholesale Manager is responsible for developing new retail relationships along with managing existing accounts and working closely with the wholesale & commerce teams to support the growing business.

What You'll Do

  • Manage all aspects of the retail buying cycle from pitch to delivery for all specified retail accounts
  • Develop and implement a rolling 8 month retail calendar to support each account’s strategies and help drive growth within each account
  • Collaborate with Brand Managers & the Product Development team to ensure product assortments align with retailer’s needs
  • Develop strong partnerships with accounts by having an open dialog about new products, stock levels, marketing, additional wholesale/licensing opportunities, etc.
  • Ensure product launches and initiatives are supported 360 degrees with eCommerce & marketing material to maximize performance 
  • Work closely with planning, product development, & suppliers to understand supply chain lead-times & constraints and the impact on the wholesale business
  • Work cross-functionally to create annual, seasonal, and monthly forecasts along with a selling strategy to achieve goals
  • Work closely with the Operations team to monitor the entire wholesale window to ensure all stores receive correct stock at the style/unit level
  • Continuously find creative ways to leverage Barstool’s unique value proposition  to drive growth at retail

What You Have

  • 3+ years of wholesale experience
  • Existing relationships with mid-size and big-box retailers 
  • Proven track record achieving results across multiple business units
  • Strong problem solving and decision-making abilities
  • Advanced business acumen and analytical skills
  • Team player who can also produce independent results 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-starter with the ability to generate ideas and see them through
  • Great critical thinking skills to handle issues before they even arise
  • Energetic, self-motivated, and self-organized. Willing to do whatever is required to get the job done
