Director – Digital Content & Strategy

Description: We are looking for a Director, Digital Content & Strategy to assist the VP of Digital Content & Strategy by overseeing the development and execution of all internal organic and affiliate content across all digital channels and platforms. 
This role will report to the VP of Digital Content & Strategy and will work alongside various members of the company (CEO, CCO, Sn Director Marketing, Sales VP and more). 
Role & Requirements: 
  • Assist team through best in class digital & social strategy across all Betches Media platforms & channels 
  • Develop affiliate strategy across all social platforms and oversee execution by working with all account managers and marketing team
  • Manage a team of account managers 
  • Create a cohesive community between our podcast and Instagram audience
  • Leverage celebrity guests and talent across social channels 
  • Staying ahead of, participating in, and responding to emerging trends and platforms 
  • Continuously staying on top of the competitive landscape 
  • Manage website and network of freelancers inclusive of editing, copy editing, vetting pitches, assigning stories, publishing & homepage management
  • Maintain strong, collaborative relationships with content creators and freelancers 
  • Strategically plan goals and track performance for all current and future content
  • Motivate, mentor and develop teams and lead the professional development of direct reports
  • Oversee internal creative teams and other partners in the creation of multi-platform content that generates buzz and increases engagement for Betches Media
  • Collaborate with Marketing team on the promoting internal digital content to grow audience and revenue
  • Assist with content marketing for events and podcasts
Qualifications:

  • 5+ years digital content and multi-platform experience
  • 2+ years of affiliate social experience 
  • Familiarity with the e-comm space & driving revenue 
  • Deep understanding of how users interact with digital content and how to create great user experiences from a content perspective
  • Proven experience that shows a creative vision in developing interactive content and campaigns for a media and/or entertainment brand
  • Ability to manage, guide & mentor direct reports
  • Ability to work independently & multi-task changing priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail, interpersonal & organizational skills
  • Strong proficiency in Adobe suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premier, etc), Microsoft Office, Keynote, Canva and more
